Who we are

The Oakland Hockey Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to making the game of hockey accessible to everyone. By breaking down financial barriers, we give underprivileged youth and families the opportunity to experience the joy of both playing and watching the game we love.

    I’ve been playing hockey in the Berkeley–Oakland community since I was two years old. The rinks here have shaped who I am — as a player, a teammate, and a believer in what hockey can mean to a community.

    I started playing hockey in my college years, and I’ve been hooked since. I live in Oakland with my wife and two kids, and I look forward to bringing the joy of hockey to our community.

    I am a local business owner in Alameda, and a and lifelong hockey player. My son plays on the 14U Jr. Sharks AAA team, so hockey consumes everything I do. I look forward to recruiting top talent and bringing an incredible product to the ice in Oakland.
